FAQ's
-
Do you have toilets? There are toilets on site just across from the studio. Baby changing and disabled toilets are both available.
-
What car parking is available? There is plenty of free parking available on site. Please use the main Amerton Farm car park. Disabled parking also available.
-
Are you dog friendly? We are happy for you to bring your furry friends along, provided they are well behaved. Naturally we have a lot of breakables in the studio, so it's very important that they are kept on a lead and are kept away from our pottery shelves. Assistance dogs are welcome.
-
Do you do gift vouchers or gift boxes? We do indeed! We have takeaway pottery kits available to keep the kids entertained. These will not need firing in the kiln so once you're finished, they're good to go! We also have gift vouchers available. Please ask a member of staff if you wish to purchase one of these. You can choose your value from £10 upwards.
-
How do I book? You can book your session with us on the website. You can book a session for either standard pottery painting, or baby hand and footprints. Please tell us how many chairs you require and NOT the number of painters.
-
How do I book parties or groups? Please contact us to discuss your requirements for parties or group bookings. Please refer to our party packages page for more information about what we can offer you. You can contact us through Facebook, Instagram, our website contact page or by calling us on 01889 270 821.
-
How long are session times?A standard painting session is 2 hours long. A hand and foot print session is 30 minutes long. We run our sessions back to back so please arrive promptly at your selected time.
-
Do you have a studio fee?Yes, and this is payable when you book. You then pay for the ceramics that you choose to paint on the day. There are no additional charges when you visit us.
-
How will I know what techniques to use?Our friendly team are always on hand to show you some new techniques and ideas. If you need any help or inspiration, please don't hesitate to ask us!
-
What age is pottery painting suitable for?We cater for everybody, you're never too old or too young!
-
How much is it to paint a pot?We are constantly changing our stock to keep everything new and fresh, so our prices will vary from piece to piece. Prices start from as little as £9 and range up to £30 depending on what you want to paint.
-
Can I take my item home straight away? Some of our items are suitable for painting in acrylic paints which means you can take your piece away on the same day. Only decorative items are able to be painted with acrylics. Anything which will hold water, need to be washed, or be exposed to naked flames will need to be left with us to glaze and fire in our kiln. We generally fire our kiln at least once weekly, so your piece will be ready within 10-14 days. If you are not local or do not want to collect, you can have your piece posted out to you for an additional charge. Please let us know when you've finished painting if you want your item posting.
